University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore (UVCE) was established in 1917 by the name Government Engineering college by Bharat Ratna Sir M Visvesvaraya. UVCE is recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and receives financial aid under World Bank’s Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP). The institute has 6 academic departments: Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture. UVCE offers B.E., B.Arch., M.E. and M. Arch programs. The college is a hub of many technical and non- technical activities evenly spread throughout the year. The ever-active students are teamed to nurture various special interest groups in college to foster their technical and creative skillsets on a myriad of platforms whilst helping each other. The entire student fraternity contributes in making each of these events a success. The college is currently being funded by the World Bank under the TEQIP project for the improvement of the quality of technical education through various programs and infrastructural developments. The devoted faculty is highly qualified, experienced and plays a pivotal role in enthusing the students to achieve remarkable feats. The Institution boasts of very good campus placements and a mighty rate of students taking up higher education abroad.

Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru is the closest airport to the college, located about 36 km away. Nearest railway station to the college is Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station, located about 3.4 km away and the closest bus station is Airavat KSRTC Bus Station and Depot, located 3 km away.

Admission Process 

For B.Tech/B.Arch.: 

Students must appear for (KCET) Entrance Exam. 

Then, Students must attend the Counselling at CET Centre conducted by the (KEA), Government of Karnataka. 

Admission will be offered through Counselling at CET Centre based on the marks obtained in KCET. 

Once the admission is offered through counselling, Students can apply for admission at UVCE. 

 For M.Tech/M.Arch: 

Students must appear for GATE/Karnataka PGCET Entrance Exam. 

Then, Students must attend the Counselling at CET Centre conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), Government of Karnataka. 

Admission will be offered through Counselling at CET Centre based on the marks obtained in GATE/Karnataka PGCET. 

Once the admission is offered through Counselling, Students can apply for admission at UVCE.
